Ayako Kusuzawa

I graduated fom Unitec Institute of Technology in Auckland, New Zealand in 2013 and majored in contemporary craft, jewellery.
Originally I am from Japan and enjoy extending my view in art field.

After I had sought something significant for me during my study at Unitec, I got one thing which I would like to focus onto -‘sense of mortality’ or ‘the uncertainties of life’-.  I still take these ideas as my subject matters and also love to treat them in my own way in which a sense of having fun that always exists in my creations.

I still would love to work with Mokume gane (wood grain metal) as I did when I was in Unitec.  However, I need more time to set up equipment for making Mokume gane therefore I will express those ideas with other materials by then.

Thank you.
